Beautiful But Bone Dry Wx. to drag on

Don't see any rain this month!

SUMMARY

I picked a great time to leave dodge as a meteorologist. The weather across most of the country is as stuck as Winnie the Pooh in honey. For us, it’s a good kind of stuck as a big high pressure area centered over West Virginia is pumping northeasterly winds down on the Northern Gulf Coast giving us crystal clear, dry, and seasonably cool weather.

There’s big daily swings on the Northshore with lows in the 40s to near 50 and highs near 80. On the Southshore, the winds are a little higher, the highs are a bit cooler and the lows are warmer courtesy of that Ponchartrain bathtub. The only caveat is that you’ve got to water your outdoor pots and any newly planted shrubs. Eventually, there may be fire weather concerns just like we had this spring. Here’s the weather at a glance for both sides of the lake.
