Dry with Pleasant days & Cooler nights
But no rain in sight until Nov. 21 ?

SUMMARY
Not much going on in the weather department — except for me grading student papers. A cold front is located from McComb to Hattiesburg this evening and will press on through to give us a lovely, coolere weekend with highs right about where they should be, near 70 to low 70s and lows low to mid 40s Northshore.

The gentle northerly winds behind the front will last through Monday keeping temperatures pleasant under sunny skies. Temperatures will creep up just a bit towards midweek as winds remain light and variable. This ECMWF AI model forecast for Thursday afternoon shows the next cold front (blue line) coming through to drop temperatures for the following weekend. It, too, will come through dry.

FORECAST DISCUSSION
Just beautiful weather..
LONG-RANGE RAMBLINGS
Temperatures for the weekend of the 14th and 15th could come in a few degrees cooler than expected with highs mid-upper 60s, lows low-mid 40s. Time to get out those light sweaters and jackets and get some good gumbo. Nov. 17-20 should see highs rebound to the mid 70s, lows in the 50s with a warming trend. Next chance of rain could be anytime from late on the 20th to the 22nd. It’s still a little early to say anything about Thanksgiving.
When I have time in the next week, I’ll share my thoughts about the winter. Warning: If you expect me to say whether we will see snow sometime this winter or nail a Christmas week forecast, you won’t be reading it here. On the other hand, I’ll be happy to say how we’ll compare to averages and what that might mean,
Louis Armstrong Airport

Foreca graphic for the Southshore shows the considerably warmer low temperatures. That’s typical for fall and early winter.
