Gilhousen's "Bob Dylan" Forecast

SUMMARY

This week, it’s time to dust off that old Bob Dylan classic “You don’t need a weatherman to” …perhaps make the forecast. Just perfect spring weather with no significant rain until next Thursday. Ok, a few of you might see a few drops at 5 AM on Friday when a reinforcing shot of cool air comes through but that’s it.

FORECAST DISCUSSION

Here’s my only points:

1) The Foreca graphic shows the best stretch of sunny weather with low humidity since November. You’ll think you’re in Southern California, except that most of our palm trees got nipped by 6” of snow in January.

2) Brief cool down over the weekend will be welcome. Highs still in 70s, lows in upper 40s on the Northshore, but it won’t get below the low-mid 50s on the Southshore.

LONG-RANGE RAMBLINGS

Showers and thunderstorms look to get back in the picture for next Thursday and Good Friday when humidity returns - but not as bad as last week. The Saturday before Easter might feature them as well, but both the American and European models have the showers clearing out before Easter Sunday which should be sunny, lows 50s, highs 70s.

Sunny dry weather for the Monday after Easter, after that models diverge.

Watch for a feature post on something crazy that’s happening in the tropics that has the potential to impact hurricane season.
